This week, this student has shown three of the learner profiles; reflective, knowledgeable and communicator. Since grade five he has struggled to present work in front of others, but has made a lot of progress this semester. He is starting to overcome his fear of speaking in English in front of others and has been using more English outside of class. Additionally, he has shown a good ability to assess his own skills. He showed this during our research project, as he reflected on his ability to carry out research, and as a consequence has improved upon key research ATL skills including using many different sources and assessing the quality of those sources. During this project, he also showed a good depth of prior knowledge and was able to visualize effectively.
